Anti-Harassment, Discrimination, and Bullying Policy

The Middleton Youth Lacrosse Club Anti-Harassment, Discrimination, and Bullying Policy prohibits all forms of harassment, discrimination, bullying, hazing, or intimidation based on protected characteristics such as race, gender, disability, or sexual orientation, applying to all club activities and communications to ensure a safe and respectful environment for players, coaches, families, and volunteers. We maintain this policy to promote inclusivity, sportsmanship, and the well-being of youth athletes, aligning with USA Lacrosse guidelines and fostering positive development without fear of harm or exclusion.

Enforcement involves prompt reporting to club leaders, confidential investigations within five days, progressive corrective actions ranging from warnings and suspensions to expulsion, and potential escalation to external authorities for severe violations.

Friend Requests, Sibling Placement, and Team Assignments

At Middleton Lacrosse Club, we strive to build balanced, competitive teams while creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all players. Our team placement process focuses on skill equity, team balance, and the overall needs of the program, with careful consideration for family logistics and younger players' social connections.

Friend requests are limited to one mutual request per player and must be submitted only during registration. These requests are considered when possible but are not guaranteed, as competitive balance takes priority, and no requests made to coaches or staff after registration will be accepted.

Siblings in the same age group and program are automatically placed on the same team for convenience, unless families request separation by contacting the appropriate program coordinator.

All teams in an age group share the same practice schedule, allowing players to attend any session regardless of team assignment. This ensures no impact on practice carpools or scheduling, promotes consistent coaching, encourages new friendships, and strengthens our overall program community.

Team placements are finalized after the first week or two of practices, with coaches consulting the board and coordinators. All decisions are confidential, final, and non-appealable.

For the full policy details, refer to the PDF located to the right of this description; if you have questions, please contact the appropriate youth coordinator.
