Winter Skill Building

Winter Skill Building is a joint program open to all Middleton Youth Lacrosse Club players, boys and girls, who are returning or already registered for the upcoming spring season. The program is designed to supplement our other programming and work well for athletes involved in other sports. We encourage players to participate in as many sports as they wish. It makes better athletes and better lacrosse players.

Sessions focus on lacrosse fundamentals and targeted skill development in a structured, supportive environment. This program is not meant to replace club lacrosse, but to supplement it. Programming will take place approximately once per week. We encourage players to register and attend as frequently as possible while balancing other commitments.

• Lacrosse fundamentals: passing, catching, and shooting
• Targeted skill development, including face-offs
• Stations that allow players to work in smaller groups
• Sessions close with a game or fun activity

Players are split by age and ability for stations and drills. Boys and girls train together in the same program but are grouped appropriately during sessions.

Returning MYLC players and new players already registered for the spring season. This is a combined boys and girls program.

New to lacrosse? Players looking to try lacrosse for the first time should attend our free winter lacrosse clinics.

Registration opens on November 5th and will remain open until filled. Due to the limited size of our indoor facilities, participation is limited to the first 40 athletes.

What is the cost of this program?

$95 for all sessions.

Who will lead these sessions?

Sessions are led by paid coaches with advanced lacrosse experience. These coaches have previously helped with MYLC spring and fall seasons.

What if my athlete can't commit to all the sessions?

That’s okay. Programming takes place approximately once per week, and we know many players have other sports or commitments. The $95 fee covers all sessions. Register and attend as often as you can.
